a) the parks in Abbotts Barton are safe for the years to come
BUT
b) now a green of the North Walls Recreation area is under threat because of the plans for a new leisure centre!
There were some more news from Winchester City Council that will affect almost all of us:
- Changes to local government elections backed by Winchester councillors
- Car parking consultation launched - have your say!
- Winchester planners approve changes to Barton Farm scheme
- Winchester in danger of £6m budget shortfall, civic chiefs warn - less money means the Council will look at areas it already owns when planning new housing. Not good news.
- Sport & Physical Activity Alliance – legacy update one year on
- Winchester railway station revamp supported by civic campaigners
